What is Virtual Reality (VR)? And what's Mixed Reality (MR)?

Virtual Reality (VR) is an immersive digital experience where you wear a headset that visually places you inside a computer-generated world. In VR, you can look around, move, and interact with virtual environments as if you were really there — whether that’s in space, a fantasy world, or the middle of a high-stakes mission.

Mixed Reality (MR) takes this a step further. It blends the real world and the virtual world together. Using cutting-edge headsets like the Meta Quest 3, players can see their real surroundings — walls, teammates, and obstacles — while digital elements are layered on top in real-time.

For example, in Spatial Ops, our featured game, you and your friends move through a physical room while battling digital enemies, capturing objectives, and ducking behind real-world cover. It’s the perfect mix of laser tag energy and video game strategy, brought to life in your own environment.

Who can play? Is there an age limit?

Ages 10+ are recommended due to the physical nature of the game and the headset sizing. Players under 13 must be accompanied by a guardian. A basic level of mobility is required. For more details, please visit Meta Quest Safety Information, as we use Meta Quest 3s headsets for our Spatial Ops Arena. Everyone has to sign a waiver to participate and bring in a photo ID to verify their age.

Are we going to share a game with others?

It depends. If you booked all 8 spaces for your time slot, then no. If you only booked 1-7, then yes! We always look to book an arena's time slot to the max size of 8 players and will fill it with anyone who wants to reserve a spot.

Do I need experience with VR or gaming to play?

Can I book a private event or party?

Absolutely! We offer private bookings for birthdays, corporate team building, and special occasions. Please contact us for more information: events@rdphhq.com

What about going to events like weddings, schools or corporate offices?

For these type of events please email us at events@rdphhq.com along with the date, length of time for the event, and estimated number of people wanting to play VR. We will create an estimate based on the information that you provide.

What about going to conventions?

We are no strangers to traveling throughout the United States! Primarily the east cost as we are based in Buffalo, NY. Please email us at events@rdphhq.com along with your location and how long the convention or event is. For most conventions and events, we charge hotel rooms (if needed) and mileage as our travel costs to your convention/event. We then charge your guests to use our VR arenas and do not split the revenue.

How long is a game booking?

Each booking at a convention is approximately 20 minutes, including pregame introductions and postgame questions.

Can I reschedule or cancel my reservation at a convention?

Because tickets reserve a specific date and time, we do not allow cancellations or refunds. Tickets are not refundable but you can transfer your tickets to your friends.

Not at all! Spatial Ops is designed to be easy to pick up. We offer a short tutorial and staff are always nearby to assist.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes and closed-toe shoes are a must. You’ll be moving, crouching, and dodging — dress like you would for a light activity or playing pickleball.

What is Spatial Ops?

Spatial Ops is a cutting-edge Mixed Reality shooter game where players physically move through real-world space while engaging in fast-paced virtual combat. Using Meta Quest 3 headsets, players see virtual walls, objectives, and enemies overlaid onto the actual environment. It’s like stepping directly into a sci-fi action movie — but with your own team.

Game Modes include:

Team Deathmatch – Squad up and eliminate the opposing team in classic head-to-head combat.
Free-For-All – Every player for themselves in a chaotic battle to see who dominates.
Domination – Capture and control strategic points on the map to earn points over time.
Capture the Flag – Infiltrate the enemy base, grab their flag, and return it to yours while defending your own.
